Strategies[]

This exercise is easy to get accuracy badges as long as user is familiar with the multiplication algorithm. Speed badges are medium without a calculator until they develop more efficient methods for multiplication because the standard algorithm can be lengthy in these examples.

  1. A calculator goes against the spirit of this problem but can be used to increase user's speed.
  2. Many of the problems were 3-digit by 3-digit or 3-digit by 4-digit.

Real-life Applications[]

  1. Multiplication is needed and used by mechanics for repairing cars by multiplying when they overhaul the engine, measure the pistons or just to put in a new gearbox or engine.
  2. By learning multiplication and memorizing the times tables, users provide themselves with essential building blocks to do higher learning math, like division, fractions and even algebra.
  3. Multiplication is necessary for a career in the stock market.
