Strategies[]

Ana ability to work with fractions or knowledge of cross multiplication techniques would suffice to complete this exercise.

  1. The numbers are relative small, so there is not a need for a calculator to increase speed.
  2. Cross multiplication would be standard, however, there is a common number that can be used to multiply or divide both the numerator and denominator in these problems. Find the multiple, then use to find the other entry to increase speed.
  3. Research indicates no value exceed three digits, so the standard multiplication tables will be sufficient for this problem.
