The first instance of Converting to smaller units word problems (metric) is under the 4th grade (U.S.) Math Mission. This exercise practices unit conversions in the Metric System.
Types of Problems[]
There is one type of problem in this exercise:

Strategies[]
This exercise is easy to get accuracy badges as long as users know the conversions in the USCS system. It is easy to attain speed badges because the conversion factors in metric are all powers of ten, in other words, moving decimal places.
- There seem to be two major conversions used, 1000 milliliters in a liter and 1000 grams in a kilogram.
Real-life Applications[]
- Measurements are used for many things, such as cooking, and for placing carpet.
